1988bo was built with one purpose: to deliver a safe, fair, and enjoyable online betting experience tailored specifically for Malaysian players. From the Malaysia Super League to Live Casino, we've got you covered.
1988bo is an online betting platform built exclusively for Malaysian players. Since our founding in 2019, we have grown into one of the most trusted betting destinations in the region, with over 500,000 registered members enjoying a wide range of gaming options — from the Malaysia Super League and EPL to Live Casino, baccarat, blackjack, roulette, slots, and esports.
Our name, 1988bo, reflects our spirit — a blend of nostalgia and modern innovation. We understand Malaysian players: how they think, what they want, and how they like to play. That's why every aspect of the 1988bo platform — from the user interface to payment options — is built with local players in mind.
"We're more than just a betting platform — we're your gaming partner who truly understands what Malaysian players want, inside and out."
— The 1988bo Management TeamThere are hundreds of online betting sites out there, but not all of them are built with Malaysian players as the priority. At 1988bo, we communicate in Bahasa Melayu, we accept Malaysian Ringgit (RM) directly, and we support all the local payment methods you use every day — Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, Boost, ShopeePay, DuitNow, and FPX including Maybank2u and CIMB Clicks. No currency conversion, no unfamiliar payment methods.
Equally important, 1988bo operates under a valid licence with industry-standard security systems. Your personal data and financial transactions are protected by 256-bit SSL encryption, and all our games use independently certified random number generators (RNG) to ensure fairness in every round.
1988bo started with a clear vision: to build a betting platform truly made for Malaysia. In the early days, we focused on local football markets and Sports Betting, before expanding to include Live Casino with real dealers, slots from premium international providers, and e-sports betting — a category growing fast among Malaysia's younger generation.
Throughout this journey, player trust has been our most valuable asset. Every decision we make — from platform design to bonus policies — is shaped by feedback from our own player community. We listen, we learn, and we keep improving.
1988bo believes betting should be an enjoyable form of entertainment, not a burden. We provide a range of tools to help players manage their betting activity — including daily deposit limits, loss limits, session limits, and the option to take a temporary break or close your account entirely. All these tools are available directly in your account, with no need to contact customer support.
We also train all our customer support staff to recognise signs of problem gambling and offer assistance in a sensitive, non-judgmental way. If you feel that betting is starting to affect your life, don't hesitate to reach out to our team or visit the Responsible Gaming us to access support resources.
Behind the seamless experience you enjoy is a robust technology infrastructure. The 1988bo platform runs on optimised servers built to deliver fast response times even during peak traffic — such as UEFA Champions League finals or crucial Malaysia Super League matches. Our system can handle hundreds of thousands of concurrent bets without disruption.
The 1988bo mobile app is available for Android and iOS, optimised for Malaysian mobile data connections. You can enjoy a full Live Casino experience with high-quality video streaming without needing WiFi — standard 4G or 5G is all you need for uninterrupted play.
1988bo offers over 1,200 games from leading international providers. Football fans will find comprehensive betting markets for the Malaysian Super League, EPL, La Liga, Bundesliga, and over 40 other leagues worldwide. If you prefer a casino atmosphere, our Live Casino features real dealers running baccarat, blackjack, roulette, and sic bo tables in live sessions 24 hours a day.
Slots enthusiasts will find our collection impressive — from classic 3-reel slots to modern video slots featuring free spins, multiplier wilds, and progressive jackpots. Our e-sports section covers betting on MPL Malaysia (Mobile Legends), CS2 tournaments, Dota 2 The International, and a growing range of international e-sports competitions that are gaining popularity in Malaysia.
